SUMMARY

Operates high and low-pressure boilers as schedule demands in a safe manner. Schedules and coordinates required Boiler inspections and maintenance.



RESPONSIBILITILES

  • Create and Maintain a Maintenance Matrix to track maintenance due dates for manufacturing equipment and utility systems using a computerized database (matrix system)



  • Responsible for all building utility systems maintenance including HVAC, water, fire sprinkler systems, building electrical and plumbing as schedule permits



  • Maintains voice, data and security systems



  • Manages maintenance projects and repairs



  • Track maintenance costs and identifies cost saving opportunities



  • Negotiates maintenance contracts



  • Provide 24/7 maintenance coverage for all process related GMP equipment



  • Ensure that maintenance SOP s are set up, maintained and updated to reflect current standards and requirements



  • Maintains appropriate inventory of maintenance parts, supplies and tools.



  • Perform the preventive and corrective maintenance program





QUALIFICATIONS

  • AS in mechanical or chemical engineering plus 10 years experience in the Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical industries or a High School Diploma plus 15 years experience in the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industries



  • 5 10 years of previous supervisory experience



  • NJ Black Seal Boiler Operator s License



  • Versed in EH&S procedures



  • Solid understanding of the mechanical maintenance of drug manufacturing and support equipment such as glass washers, autoclaves, centrifuges, heat exchangers, pumps, agitators, etc.



  • Experience with cGMPs of equipment and systems



  • Must have the initiative to plan and carry out maintenance projects with minimum supervision



  • Solid understanding of Microsoft business applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, etc.
