Pay Rate: $38,000 - 48,000/yr. (DH)
End to end administration of all freight/damage claims according to policy coverage. Other financial and administrative duties will apply as required by the team and Manager.
Oversee the incoming claims and daily management of the mailbox to ensure proper response time to the customer and internal employees.
Daily correspondence to the Customer and some investigation, reporting and inspection of losses will be required.
Create detailed reports for appropriate employees.
Strong interaction with Credit Manager on overdue accounts, short pays, outstanding claims, freight credits, releasing orders.
Manage communications on all approval/denial for returns and credit.
Issues all credit memos.
Work with internal departments including Customer and Sales Support, multiple Warehouses and Logistics.
Backup as a team member where appropriate. Special projects as they are requested.
At least 3+ years of relevant experience with claims.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of excel and all window applications. Knowledge of Sage X3 a plus.
- Experience with automated claims handling systems (paperless environment)
