SUMMARY



Demand Planner is supply chain role that will oversee the demand planning (forecasting and inventory) requirements process. The role is responsible for the execution and strategic creation of future fulfillment plans that will enable the company meet sales and service objectives. Role will collaborate with other departments like marketing, sales, and operations to identify variances based upon historical performance and anticipated future activities of products.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the markets demand plans over the planning horizon to identify trends, issues, and corrective actions, through demand analysis, demand scenarios and reconciliation with Financials



  • Primary supply chain contact for the markets in the Canada



  • Accountable for managing and supporting the S&OP process



  • Actively develop the relationship with the Americas countries commercial teams to build market knowledge over the 24 months planning horizon



  • Accountable for finished goods inventory for the Canadian market



  • Challenge the markets on their excess inventory & obsolescence.



  • Ensure communications with Commercial teams involved



  • Actively develop the relationship with the Supply Planners to build the required supply knowledge and play an active role in the allocation process in times of shortage



  • Accountable for managing the prompt resolution of the markets backorders and potential backorders



  • Actively manage the Business Unit product portfolio, coordinate new product launches and end of life activities



  • Actively suggest improvement projects



  • Own, monitor and publish performance metrics & reports e.G. Status reports



  • Interacts with Markets on Tender processes to ensure products in bids can be supplied



  • Act as backup to other Americas functions during vacation, business travel or other times on an as needed basis





QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or equivalent based on experience



  • More than 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (Preferably within a



Demand Planning role)

  • Knowledge of SAP transactions and reports



  • Works independently on complex issues



  • Experience with Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)



  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and prioritize



  • Strong listening and influencing skills



  • Good analytical skills together with business acumen



  • Pro-active attitude



  • Good communication and collaboration skills



  • Strong strategic and tactical capabilities
