Our ideal candidate has a BS, EE w/ experience in opto electronics a plus. We seek an individual who has knowledge and experience with designing driver circuits for both AC and DC LED applications.

The successful candidate will design and develop new specifications and products as well as revise existing products to support market needs. Our Electrical Engineers focus on designing circuits for manufacturability and reliability within a wide range of environmental conditions. You will also be responsible for managing your project timelines and product cost.


  • Modify, design and develop cost-effective AC and DC LED driver circuits for use Signals and Components products in compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.

  • Build prototypes for power circuits for design verification

  • Plan and develop test experiments, test procedures, BOMs etc.

  • Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional specifications.

  • Troubleshoot circuits using tools like multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power analyzer etc.

  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to bring quality products to market.

  • Work with suppliers to select appropriate components for products.

  • Design for manufacturability and reliability for a wide range of environmental conditions.

  • Assist in transfer of products to production.

  • Interact with intercompany locations, vendors and customers on design related issues


  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • 3-5 Years minimum design experience

  • Familiarity with various regulatory requirements (UL, CSA, FCC) is a plus

  • Good understanding of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and AC and DC LED driver circuits

  • Excellent circuit troubleshooting techniques with the ability to debug down to the component level

  • Knowledge of Altium is a plus

  • Good prioritization and project development skills
