This position is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with high-value clients. This role may also assist with targeting prospects and converting prospects into clients and assist with mentoring and developing associate advisors.


  • Oversee management and build relationships with a defined group of key, high-value clients by delivering ongoing service supported by one or more associate advisors

  • Makes decisions relating to the delivery of advice to new clients and to existing clients serviced on an ongoing basis

  • Conduct client reviews for key clients discussing ongoing advice needs

  • Provide consultation and support to the Associate Advisor for the preparation of review meeting documentation

  • Review advice documentation to ensure that the strategies developed are appropriate and compliant

  • Identify new opportunities to assist with generating new revenue and new assets

  • Participate in the design and implementation of key marketing initiatives and activities including a focus on the development of center-of-influence relationships

  • Work with COIs to actively develop new client referrals

  • Maintain an awareness of client needs to identify gaps in the services offered and opportunities for new revenue generation

  • Actively research legislative and industry environment to gain a clear understanding of the impact on client advice strategies

  • Attend appropriate courses and training to continue to develop understanding of leading-edge advice practices

  • Adhere to the firm's professional competencies, ethical standards, cultural values, operating policies, budgets and legislative compliance standards

  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to Associate Advisor

  • Conduct targeted training sessions for Associate Advisors, as requested


  • Industry experience of 5+ years

  • Track record of establishing and maintaining successful client relationships
