SUMMARY

This is a key role within the organization and the individual will be responsible for developing, defining, and implementing commercial marketing strategies for each brand. This position is also responsible for media plans, budget management, merchandising and pricing/product/promotional strategies related to the brands. She/He will be responsible for the overseeing planning, forecasting and analyzing of the brands. As well as being responsible for 1 direct report.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and develop the overall brand marketing plans and strategies for consumer and professional channels



  • Contribute to the development of 3-year brand strategy



  • Plan media, pricing, merchandising and promotional strategy for both the consumer and professional channels



  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure that all major marketing initiatives are leveraged through a 360 strategy



  • Work with Creative, Education and Communications team to develop brand campaigns, video/digital/print content and marketing assets



  • Build out master marketing calendar of all key initiatives, production schedules and deadlines to share with internal and external partners



  • Actively manage and execute marketing calendar, plans and programs to implement all elements of the marketing mix



  • Manage execution of project plans and deadlines to achieve all marketing objectives on time and within established budgets



  • Define and implement retailer marketing programs for existing products and strategies for new product launches



  • Manage annual marketing budget and analyze marketing budget spend by product line to ensure that it is in line with overall company objectives and mix of business



  • Forecast and manage all POM materials including samples, collateral, GWP s, promo sets and adjust forecast based on trends in the business



  • Act as a "brand" liaison with the International Brand team



  • Attend retailer meetings, trade shows and annual summit meetings



  • Day to day management of marketing activities and any duties required to maintain an efficient marketing department



  • Review SKU assortment annually



  • Manage Jr. Brand Manager





QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience working in brand and/or retail marketing role required



  • Knowledge in all areas of marketing (program development, media planning, market analysis and research, marketing plan development, project management skills)



  • Experience working on a premium brand and/or professional product a plus



  • Creative thinker who can bring new ideas to Beauty and help propel the growth of the brands



  • Exceptional ability to project manage and multi-task



  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail



  • Excited by entrepreneurial spirit within an organization and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment



  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible and agile



  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact, communicate, influence and negotiate



  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while ideating and executing efficiently



  • Ability to apply analytical skills to develop insights and presentations to leadership



  • Must be willing to travel
