SUMMARY

The Medical Support Coordinator will provide support for various projects and initiatives within the functional areas that comprise the US Medical Affairs team, including VP Medical Affairs, Clinical Research & Strategy, HEOR, Medical Science Liaisons, Patient Advocacy and Medical Information Communications.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the department.



  • Provide support related to current and future projects as needed (e.G., Medical Information Requests, Investigator-Initiated Studies, HEOR contracts, MLR submissions, conference planning activities, etc.).



  • Schedule, coordinate, order catering, set-up conference rooms, and greet meeting attendees, as requested.



  • Prepare and submit expense reports accurately, within established guidelines and timelines.



  • Act as a liaison and a point-of-contact between the field MSL team, various internal teams, and/or vendors for queries.



  • Create effective filing systems for the office and assist with keeping managers organized with daily folders/calendar/deadline reminders.



  • Prepare and distribute monthly management reports, ad hoc reports, summaries, or analyses as required.



  • Participate in the creation, periodic review, and revision of departmental policies and SOPs to assure compliance with corporate policies.



  • Travel domestically and/or internationally 5%, if required.





QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor s degree required or an Associate s Degree with prior R&D work experience within the pharmaceutical industry Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.



  • Requires a minimum of 8 years administrative experience within a pharmaceutical R&D environment.



  • Understanding of R&D/Medical & Scientific Affairs functions and processes.



  • Strong computer systems experience with a variety of software, particularly Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and preferably expense reporting, such as Concur.



  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects, while meeting related deadlines.



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service approach.
