Pay Rate: $65,000 - $70,000/yr.
Responsible for weekly determination & communication of divisional manufacturing requirements to ensure all projects meet requested deadlines while maintaining predetermined finished goods/raw/box-in box-out inventories. Position works closely with Supply Planning & Management, Production Management, manufacturing facilities, and Customer Service.
Maintain weekly production schedule for manufacturing facilities and execute the subsequent MRP cycles; managing materials in support of the schedules.
Manage master data setups and daily utilization of Great Plains for procurement and management of materials. Also manage Bills of Materials maintenance and effectively dates within Great Plains for accurate material requirements planning.
Support of forecast/inventory targets and communication of weekly production schedules to manufacturers and other stakeholders on a timely basis
Identify potentially obsolete inventory and seek disposition in a timely manner, per corporate guidelines
Communicate with manufacturers and raw/packaging suppliers on material requirements, processing returns of non-conforming materials when required.
Evaluates and maintains material requirements for production and inventory to ensure goods are available for production and order fulfillment.
Generate and adjust purchase orders in support of MRP requirements and effectively communicate with production staff concerning proper quantities in inventory.
Review orders, verify accuracy of invoices and maintain inventory.
Resolve problems and discrepancies with regard to production, design, quality and delivery as appropriate with vendors.
Serve as purchasing liaison
Interview and negotiate with new vendors, negotiating price, quality, inventory, delivery and service issues; establishing account and credit terms.
Conducts vendor reviews on a semi-annual basis with existing vendors and renegotiate pricing when necessary
Manage multiple projects and initiatives and work independently while demonstrating initiative. The ability to work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist is also required.
Responsible for participation in the annual physical inventory audit and overall inventory accuracy throughout the year
