SUMMARY

The production planner will schedule workflow for Production and Packaging departments in accordance with customer orders. Work closely with entire team to ensure that adequate resources are available to guarantee on-time deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Head of Manufacturing, Customer Service, QC & QA, and Head of Purchasing to create schedules and assign staff effectively



  • Interface with sales, production and purchasing on material status and production planning issues



  • Work together with management, sales, and production on a regular basis to maintain or adjust schedules for maximum efficiency to meet goals.



  • Be aware of sales order delivery dates with respect to capacity planning and material requirements



  • Establish priorities and revise schedules where necessary to ensure efficiency



  • Confer with purchasing, QA and Regulatory personnel to assure maintenance of labeling inventory to resolve complaints and/or eliminate delays



  • Assist with identifying and implementing productivity improvements



  • Maintain Packaging/Product Specification



  • Perform all administrative duties required to maintain the production schedule



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Navision exp a plus



  • Must have pharmaceutical manufacturing experience



  • Minimum 4+ years experience in manufacturing/distribution environment



  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP system(s)



  • Must be a team player and highly motivated in a fast paced, constantly changing environment



  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency and minimal direction



  • Must have ability to multi-task to meet deadlines



  • Ability to influence and collaborate with functional leaders, peers and direct reports to accomplish goals



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills



  • Strong organization and time management skills, meticulous attention to detail



  • Must have Pharmaceutical experience in Production Planning, Supply + Demand Planning
