SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, innovative and solutions oriented, and have practical and proven experience selling to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology marketplace. They will have the demonstrated ability to excel at high-level sales activities, however, perform hands-on related activities driving sales, while at the same time keeping every day details in order. The position requires a strong thought leader and an excellent team-player along with possessing significant strategic depth with a commitment to and interest in the program-level details of sales strategy and the metrics-driven processes and procedures required for flawless execution. The candidate will be a strong relationship manager and a market evangelist, and have demonstrated success in building long-term customer success and perceived market leadership, exhibiting a broad set of exceptional personal skills including a keen sense of strategic thinking and rigorous analytics.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focuses exclusively on new business acquisition and revenue development.



  • Manages the entire Sales Cycle including writing proposals, correspondence, lead and demand generation campaigns.



  • Prepares customized proposals and price quotes in response to inquiries and to address the needs of the prospect.



  • Negotiates contracts with clients to closure.



  • Attains a thorough understanding of the company's technology, services, solutions and capabilities and how they differentiate from competitors.



  • Presents company solutions and products to prospective clients in a manner consistent with their use. Presentations will be by phone, webcast and face-to-face.



  • Obtains competitive intelligence to drive company strategy.



  • Demonstrates prudent business controls on expense management.



  • Participate in industry and professional conferences and other promotional and marketing programs sponsored by the company.



  • Develop / present value proposition, business case and financial justification to decision makers to successfully secure new business opportunities.



  • Serve as an external spokesperson for the company to customers.



  • Utilization of integrity and ethics in every step of the sales cycle and customer lifecycle.



  • Expertise developing the strategy, leading implementation and the enhancement of highly leveraged software sales.



  • Strong conceptual sales skills and advanced skills in selling business value and leading edge solutions.



  • Ability to incorporate sales methodologies, tools, and disciplined process to gain competitive advantage.



  • Demonstrated success conducting sales and building relationships in a highly demanding and rapidly changing environment satisfy customers and build high value relationships with customers, internal team members, and business partners.



  • Strong writing, presentation, communication and organizational skills.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degree or higher



  • 10+ years selling to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry



  • Understands and has experience of Speaker Bureau



  • Experience selling software to assist with compliance, regulations and event planning



  • Knows the commercial sector and eco-system (Veeva, Quintiles/IMS, MDM, Aggregate Spend, Cvent)
