Our client is seeking a VP of Customer Service who will lead the team responsible for driving long lasting client partnerships by providing excellent customer experiences and insights. This person will represent the voice of the customer, overseeing account management, direct and support CRM teams mission to continuously optimizing the entire customer lifecycle and identifying upsell opportunities. By interacting directly with their customers, the VP of Customer Service will help create an on-going feedback loop to help inform and prioritize company products, needs and strategies. The VP of Customer Service must be obsessed with delighting. This role requires a high degree of inter-departmental collaboration, customer focus and excellent communication skills. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, problem solver and comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and situational leadership is paramount to success.


  • Lead CRM team in providing the best customer service and insights to our customers.

  • Work with cross departmental teams to contribute to strategic sales planning.

  • Assume leadership accountability in resolving potential customer concerns.

  • Identify complex issues (conflicting data, client objections, industry trends, etc.) and offer solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Become a product and service expert in order to reinforce and educate clients on our products.

  • Work with key accounts across all channels including but not limited to Pro salon, pro distribution, international and retail.

  • Manage all open orders through forecasting and demand planning modules.

  • Prepare financial reporting.

  • Work in conjunction with VP of Operations to ensure seamless operational efficiencies for all customer orders.

  • Must have ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple managers.


  • 10+ years in client services, must have worked within beauty industry

  • Excellent listening, verbal, written skills.

  • Experience working with sales, customer service and across functional teams.

  • Expert Excel skills and a working knowledge of EDI

  • International customer service experience a plus

  • Bachelor s degree desired or equivalent solid relevant experience
